Softball batting?

I know this is a softball question in the baseball section of this board but I didn’t know where else to post this. I have a game tonight, and I would like to know how to hit the ball to a specific spot. My teammates tell me to hit it to right field or other spots but I never know how to hit the ball there. Is there a special trick to do it? Thanks

Actually, if you want it to go to right field you swing later and step to right field, step into it. Keep your hands back as you swing through. Don’t swing so fast slow down your hands. Good luck.
