I need help about fielding hard hard ground balls?
I have a huge baseball tryout at school tomorrow, and im confident about making the team ( 2 years ago played 3rd baseball AA) and its not fast pitch, its softball with the bigger sized balls, my hitting is fine and i can hit some nice line drives, im just scared of flunking the ground balls, the “FAST” ones? how should i field them, cause alot of the time it goes through my legs, some times i put my left leg down like a hockey goalie then my right leg like im keeling so it does ant go through my legs, but the disadvantage to that is my glove is not as movable and flex able as before, any big tips?
My best advice would be to get you’re hands out infront. That allows you time to get your hands where they need to be in case of a bad hop or anything else that can happen out there. It also eliminates the occasional ball through your legs because of being lazy and not having your glove on the ground.
