First Time Out Am I good?
I just went out for the first time golfing. I have gone to driving ranges for 2 years, but really just for fun. I play baseball and I hit 47 on 9 Holes (Par 33) Is this gogoldod or just plain bad. My friend (Who plays regularly hit 39 and said I did really well for first time)
I’m a sophmore and am gonna tryout for my high school JV team. Players said that if i get under 60, I’m good to go…especially since we just lost 10 seniors this year.
Also, the JV team gets 2 hats, 2 polos, 1 shirt, sweats, and a jacket. Varsity gets like twice as much stuff…OOh and also a free membership for one year to over 20 different courses.
Im gonna start golfing each sunday til the summer, then in the summer once every other day.
That is great for your first nine! When I started, it would hit around a sixty on nine. You just need to make sure that you spend about fifty percent of your time on short game and the other fifty on the rest. Some people spend an hour on their driver and fifteen minutes on putting, woods, wedges and irons, which is not a good pattern to get into. You probably know this, but work from pitching wedge up to the driver. Never hit your driver first when practicing. But still, a 47 is really good for starting out.
