Baseball questions- Pitching + hitting?

Hi, I have recently been playing catch with my 9 year old brother. He is into baseball and wants to learn how to pitch and hit the ball. I myself do not know the exact way to do this. I was wondering if any of you could find me a site with different pitches and diagrams on how and at what heigth to pitch the ball. Videos are ok too. Any tips you may have are also much appreciated. Also, if you have any tips on what pitches to teach him and in what order would help too.

As a pitcher at that age, it is just about getting control and adding velocity to the fastball. Once he masters that (which may take a few years, especially as his velocity grows) I would start looking into a curveball around 11 or 12 and a changeup after that.

As for hitting, just teach him the basics like balance, stepping with the front foot, keeping the back elbow up, keeping the eye on the ball, and keeping a level swing.

Your brother is very lucky to have an older brother like you. It was always a wish of mine to have atleast 1 other person in my family get into baseball.. or atleast a sport. But I had to teach myself everything. Keep this up! I hope you do, atleast until he gets through high school.
