Do I have a chance at Pro Ball?
My freshman year I tried out for the team but that week I was sick so I didn’t make the team for lack of hustle
My sophmore year (current) I made the team but I’m not a starter, even though I field better than the current SS and I make more contact, and more power, and I’m faster
They just know the guy cause he played last year, and I’m afraid that by the time I’m in 12 grade (senior) I will only have 1 year to get scouts to notice me
I’m playing as hard as I can during pre-season even though I don’t expect them to make me the starter until I’m a junior (next year)
I have the 5 tools except Power..I don’t hit for power but I barely strike out, I’m fast and I cover a lot of ground at shortstop, I have a very good arm
So how can I get myself noticed other than High School Baseball?
You have a decent shot, if you display all these tools in one games when scouts are watching. Try throwing that ball a little harder, or running out that ground ball a little more, play defense a little flashier and you should be noticed by a pro scout in no time. GOOD LUCK!
