How can I try to help my Bff get over her deathly fear of softballs while she is up to bat?
My BFF and I went to watch a fastpitch 17 year old team. The batter got hit on her knee and broke her knee. My BFF is now to scared to be in the batters box she jumps out every time. I want to help her without telling her I know she’s afraid. She tries to act tough and I don’t want her to feel like a sissy. Plz help!!!!!!!!!
The best bet, imho, is to take her to batting cages and practice over and over until the fear subsides.
Also, sit her down and let her know that she doesnt have to act tough around you. That you see the flinch (and share a time when you went through something similar) and how you got over your anxiety.
