No, I hadn’t heard of that. That’s interesting.

I’d say the odds are against him breaking it, but hey, he got this far, right?

Although, I’m not sure how many games he’ll have left to try. FIU is going into a tournament and unless I’m mistaken, if they lose they’re done for the season. It would be pretty hard for Wittels to come back next year and pick right up where he left off. And who knows, he might enter the MLB Draft and never have a chance to finish his streak.

It’ll be interesting to see if he can do it, though.
