My son fractured his right pinky. What should I do to protect it as he bats and plays catcher in baseball?

My son is a right handed batter, catcher, and first baseman. I am concerned that once the protective cast is off that he may receive a ding that will re-injure the finger. Are there batting gloves, protective pads, ect. that will protect his finger? The fracture was in the growth plate of the proximal phalanges.

Actually there is a new company that just started making batting gloves with what they call “a new protective technology”. It has this rubber padding on the outside part of the glove to protect your wrist and fingers. You should check them out…i bought the REAKTR model which is a glove u put under your mitt to protect your palm. I think its a great product and you may have even seen some Pro MLB players already using these gloves.
