Ive been playing softball all my life since t-ball. I started pitching 2 years ago, but i was really slow and sucked. lol, well since then ive been messing around throwing softballs and just throwing socks at my wall acting like im pitching, and wel this summer softball needs another pitcher and since i had experience, my coach told me to start praticing. So i have been and i have a decent speed im not fast and not slow, i can throw 4 out of 8 strikes, and i need to find my release point, but i feel like i don’t know what im doing, alot of girl have a hop.. or they drag their foot. and i dont know what i should do. i need to increase my speed but everytime i do that the ball goes everywhere, every night in my rom i take a sotball and flick it so i can pratice flipping my wrist to get good spin on the ball. i need more tips to increase my speed and to help me become a better pitcher, i am left handed if that means anything, but i bat right handed

okay. i started to pitch about 2-3 years ago and i have been also playing sunce t-ball. its good that you flick the ball everyday but sometimes you need more than that. everyday or every other day practice, practice, practice!! whenever i go and practice i do warm-ups before i do the actual pitching. first i stand a couple feet from whoever is catching and just flick my wrist, no arm movement and just flick the wrist. do that 20 times. next i back up a little bit more and go to my side and put arm out to shoulder and go and bring it down and flick, 20 times. next i back up a lil more and do my ‘K’s’. its where you are also on your side and put arm up and leg up so you are in a ‘k’ position and do that. then just go and do your regular pitches. ALSO!! dont tense up in your shoulders or arms!!! if you relax your arm while you pitch, it will increase your speed!!
