Does one use the same size bat in softball as in baseball?

For baseball I use a 34 inch bat, however I have been invited to play in a co-ed softball tournament and was wondering if I should use a 34 inch bat for that too. (A softball one obviously – I am aware of the differences) Also if you have any tips on how to anticipate pitches (I would imagine it’s going to be slow-pitch, don’t know yet) that would be appreciated.

A 34 would be fine…but if it is slow pitch…maybe try a 36. You’ll get a little more leverage with the longer bat. In baseball, the extra size can slow my swing…but if you are playing slow pitch…take the bigger bat and crank that puppy (if you have the upper body strength to handle it).

Word…the guy below is right…depends on your league rules…alot do have like a 5-10 home run limit.
