Softball swing (Slow pitch)?

Can anybody break down the difference between an ideal home run swing and a line drive swing? I am a switch hitter.

I believe there are two schools of hitting, hip rotation and weight transfer. Hip rotation keeps more of the weight back and on the back foot making it easier to produce a slight upper cut and get the ball up in the air and over the fence. Weight transfer moves the weight more dramatically to the front foot and produces more line drives. Charlie Lau vs. Ted Williams theories.
