Is hitting in baseball just as psychological as it is physical?

i’ve always thought it was 50/50. i’m 16 and relatively scrawny, but i can hit 95 in a batting cage all day, simply because i can time the ball and swing on time. however, if i was up agaisnt a fastball at that speed with the burden of a curveball or a change-up coming, i’d stand no chance. i wouldn’t be able to adjust. but if i guess the pitch coming by studying the pitcher’s trends and forseeing the right pitch, i’d hit it no problem. your thoughts on the psychological aspects of hitting vs. the physical?

As Yogi Berra said ‘Half of baseball is 90% mental”. You have to have the talent, but a clear approach helps a lot.
