Do i have a shot at getting into The univeristy of Texas at Austin?
Okay heres some info about me
my cumulative gpa is about 3.6 (not that great cause fo freshman year but got a 4.0 my junior year). each semester my gpa goes up
SAT scores was 1710 but im retaking it to try to get a better score
I do a lot of volunteering at my church. in 2 youth groups and in a church singing group that goes around singing for nursing homes
Ive had a job for nearly 2 years
In yearbook at school for 2 years
been playing guitar and baseball for 6 years
im going to have about 5 letters of recommendations from teachers by the time i apply
im starting to volunteer at a nursing home
been in around 8 clubs since i started high school.
my class rank is in the 20%. so 19% of my class is in front of me.
im also taking 4 ap/honors classes my senior year.
*keep in mind im coming from out of state.
what are my chances?
That’s right around where I was, with slightly lower SAT scores, but you have WAY more school activities. They told me to go to UTEP or UTSA for one year before I could transfer in. I think they’ll like your extra-curricular activities, at LEAST enough to get the offer I got. Chances around 70% I’d say. Good luck!
