Vista Ultimate Errors?
Brought Asus M51s, with Vista Ultimate, laptop is highly spec’d, had it since April 08, now I am on my fourth return to store from Vista operating errors, vista freezes, turn off, remove bat, turn on and get “please use rescue disc”, laptop will not recognize dvd.
All software is Vista compliant, seem to have three to four weeks smooth running then bang, it will either freeze or wont boot after shutdown.
Shop techs have done complete reinstall, check hard drive etc.
Is this my bad luck or ? desperate as this is my work machine and glad i still have my old sony with xp to keep me going, Help
thank you for replies so far, yes, am not sure to reinstall with XP Pro or have one more go with it then throw it at someone. Can a tech check the bios easily enough or is this another return to Asus agent, most probably there isn’t one in NZ
My guess is that it is just bad luck, I’ve been running vista ultimate on my custom comp for a few months now and haven’t crashed once. I have had to restart a few times though, mostly due to 3rd party programs requiring restart after download.
I really don’t know what to tell you, only thing I can think of might be problems with the motherboard bios. I’ve heard that the bios ASUS uses has some problems, but I really don’t know much else beyond that.
